  • What is it?

Trek the City is an interactive walking scavenger hunt / trivia / adventure / challenge / race / game thingy!

It is also a fun and exciting way to explore the area at your own pace. Our scavenger hunts provide a unique mechanism to see a city from a new perspective with the guidance of our mobile app- or web-based clues. Have a casual day with the kids, significant other, or compete with a group of friends or coworkers and you will find yourself racing from one clue to the next. Or you can meander too. Your choice.  One clue might have you inspecting the minute details of a sculpture, another may have you counting the number of columns on a building. Regardless, you will discover exciting parts of the city that you never knew existed. Rather than aimlessly wander to explore the city; a trek with us might be just what you need to spice up your weekend!

Each Trek is a fun interactive way to explore a city.

It will guide you on a walking tour, while asking questions along the way.

It will test your observation skills, attention to reading and make you think.

We aim for about 2 miles for the Trek route.

Have fun exploring with us (and learning some too) but not just blindly walk around. We point out restaurants, restrooms, and other fun things to check out later.

And after you’ve done a Trek, invite a friend to do it. And go with them. It’s really fun to watch friends and family try to find the answers, even if you already know it.

We are excited to have you join us on a Trek! — Go to the Home page or Locations page to begin!

  • FAQ

    • Where do we park?

We give guidance and ideas on where to park at the beginning of each Trek. We also try to begin each one at or near a parking lot.

    • What do we need to complete a Trek?

All you need is an internet-enabled device. The Trek runs through the web page, so any cell phone or tablet that does not require wi-fi will do.

    • Is it family friendly?

Absolutely. We have young kids ourselves and that is the main reason that we created this. The intent is to get the kids involved and looking for the “clues” along the way.

    • How Long Does Each Trek Take?

Each Trek is an approximately two mile loop. We will take you back to the starting point. Most players complete the Trek in about two to three hours.

    • What if we don’t finish?

That’s fine. You can always come back to it later. Make sure to drop a pin where you left off to find it on your map program again.

    • What if we get stuck on a question?

All the information you need to answer the questions will be found in the place the clues lead you to.
